Périgord/Dordogne - Day 5 - Eyzies-de-Tayac, Les Jardins de Marqueyssac & La Roque-Gageac

Our small group had another memorable day in the Dordogne.

We began in Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, the “Capital of Prehistory,” where we visited the National Prehistory Museum and admired the dramatic cliffside setting. It felt like stepping back in time!

Then we headed to Les Jardins de Marqueyssac—what a magical place! The sculpted boxwood gardens and sweeping views over the Dordogne Valley were absolutely stunning.

In the afternoon, we explored La Roque-Gageac, a postcard-perfect village nestled between the river and towering cliffs.

History, beauty, and serenity all in one unforgettable experience.
