The African South - Day 3 - Deadvlei

Today started bright and early – 5:00 a.m. πŸ₯± After a quick β˜•οΈ, we hit the gravel road for about an hour – our fascia got a free massage along the way πŸ˜„. But it was absolutely worth it!

What nature has created here is truly fascinating and beautiful to see. The desert is vast, with an incredible play of colors to admire. The last five kilometers were a wild ride through the sand in our off-road vehicle – pure adventure!

The Namib Desert is actually the oldest desert in the world. With its dryness, frequent sandstorms, and extreme temperature swings, it’s considered one of the most inhospitable places on Earth.

Back at the lodge, time to rinse off the dust with a 🍺 and enjoy something delicious – game oryx πŸ₯“.
