The African South - Day 4 - Namib - Swakopmund

Yesterday we enjoyed a beautiful sunset, and today we set off early – straight through the desert 🏜. It’s hard to imagine just how many different faces it has.

A short stop in Solitaire πŸ˜„ – complete with its quirky car wreck museum πŸš•πŸ›£.

One thing’s for sure: πŸ“Έ can’t capture the magic the same way your own πŸ‘€ can. Today we crossed the Tropic of Capricorn 🌞🌞.

Arriving in Swakopmund, we were immediately hit by the cold πŸ₯Ά – time to warm up a bit with some πŸ₯ƒπŸΎ πŸ˜…

Swakopmund is a coastal city in Namibia, with sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. It was founded in 1892 by German colonists. With our limited time, we couldn’t see much more πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

It’s definitely colder here than in the desert 🌞 – but the colonial architecture gives the city its own special charm πŸ™πŸ˜

We still managed to take in some great impressions. There’s quite a bit of German spoken here, and we found a lovely cafΓ© by the pier where we indulged in some πŸŽ‚πŸͺβ˜•οΈ
