The African South - Day 6 - Etosha NP

Up at 5:30 a.m., ☕️🥣 and off we go – heading into Etosha National Park! We arrived around 7:30 and switched to a “Jeep.” Well… calling it a Jeep might be a bit generous 😬

Then the amazement began – the photos say it all! We didn’t spot the Big 5️⃣, but we did see the Big 3️⃣.

The lions were tricky to find, but we eventually tracked them down 🦁 And there was plenty more to see 🦌: Impalas, kudus, springboks, zebras, and even a lonely gnu. We also spotted two rhinos – though they only showed us their behinds 😅

We covered many kilometers to see as much as we could – and it was worth every bit of it! We were lucky in a way: there was a fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥 in the park just a week ago, and you can still see the aftermath. Because of that, we couldn’t reach the salt pan, but we’re still happy and grateful to have seen so many animals. 🐾
