The African South - Day 8 - Tsumeb - Divundu

Up at 5:30 a.m. – a quick ☕️ and 🥪, and off we go again!

We drove about 450 km via Grootfontein, Rundu, and Divundu, arriving around 5 p.m. at the Mahango Safari Lodge. What an adventurous trip! 🚗💨 Namibia is huge, and the scenery keeps changing every few kilometers.

At Mururani Gate, everything suddenly looked different – almost as if civilization had turned upside down. 🏚 No real houses anymore, just a patchwork of everything mixed together.

We also got to experience some genuine Namibian road construction 😃 – those poor guys working in the heat!

At 38 °C, we visited the San people. Sadly, they can no longer live as hunters and gatherers; they now have to buy from the local shops like everyone else 😀😀

Finally reaching Mahango Lodge, we took a refreshing 🚿, relaxed by the river with 🦛🦛 in the water and a soft breeze – and of course, enjoyed our 🍸🍹.
