The African South - Day 9 - Divundu - Kasane

Another early start – 5:00 a.m.! 😴

But it was totally worth it – the sunrise πŸŒ… over the river was absolutely breathtaking.

We continued our drive through the Bwabwata National Park. It’s home to elephants 🐘 and many other animals – though they hide well, as the vegetation 🌳 here is quite different again.

At Kongola, the park comes to an end, and by 11:30 a.m. we reached the border with Botswana πŸ‡§πŸ‡Ό.

Botswana – rich in πŸ’Ž, politically stable, about 7 million people and home to the largest 🐘 population in Africa πŸ˜€.

At our lodge, we checked into a lovely, spacious room. Swimsuits on and straight into the πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ – with 36Β°C in the shade, we needed it! Here, even the πŸ‘Ÿ soles start to melt πŸ˜….

After a short rest, it was time to head out by πŸ›Ά on the Chobe River – to meet the πŸ¦› and 🐊.
