The African South - Day 10 - Kasane - Victoria Falls

Another short night – up at 5:00 a.m., this time without ☕️☕️ or 🥓. 😅 Off we went into the Chobe National Park. We weren’t the only tired ones – the animals didn’t seem too eager to show up either 👉.

After a bumpy, adventurous drive, we finally spotted 🦁 – they looked just as sleepy as we felt. 😄

Then suddenly – our car broke down! 😅😅 After 20 minutes, we switched to another Jeep and continued through deep sandy tracks 😀. Luckily, we got to see quite a lot: 🐘, impalas, kudus, coyotes, guinea fowl, water buffalo, and more.

But the adventure wasn’t over yet – the next car broke down too, and we got stuck in the sand! 😅😅 Pulled out, quick jump-start, and full speed ahead toward the exit.

Back at the lodge, we had breakfast with instant coffee 😆 (which didn’t really help against the tiredness). Then it was off to Zimbabwe – and what an adventure at the border 😃😃

The drive itself was short, but crossing the border took forever. Finally, we arrived at our Bayete Lodge – pure relaxation at last! Straight into the pool 🏊‍♂️ and onto the 🍹🍹.
