The African South - Day 13 - Nata - Selebi Phikwe

Up at 6:00 a.m., quick 🚿, one last look at the 🐘 elephants, then breakfast β˜•οΈπŸž and back on the road!

At 8:00 a.m. we set off for another long drive. Tonight’s stop: Cresta Bosele.

On the way, we made a detour to the Great Salt Pan of Africa, the Bird Sanctuary. The birds 🐦 were hiding, but the wildebeest showed up instead. πŸ˜„

We continued along a β€œroad” that really doesn’t deserve to be called one πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… – free massage included in the ride! πŸ˜€

The changing vegetation was fascinating to watch. Everything still looks dry and lifeless now, but once the rainy season arrives, it all turns lush and green. 🌿

After Francistown, the road finally improved – even our guide Thomas was happy and didn’t have to keep apologizing anymore πŸ˜„. Can’t blame him for those roads! 😁

And today we finally did it – we managed to photograph the legendary Kalahari Ferrari πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜….

Arriving in Selebi Phikwe, we checked into the hotel and relaxed πŸ‘Œ.
