The African South - Day 16 - Mapesu Game Reserve - Krüger NP

Today was a moderate wake-up day – 6:00 a.m. 😅 That’s what we call a vacation 👌.

After seven hours on the road, we finally arrived at our lodge near the Kruger National Park, the Kubu Safari Lodge. 🏕️ Checked in – and ran into our first challenges:

No water 😕, so we had to switch rooms.

At least now we’ve got a big bed 🛏️, even if the mattress feels like a rock 😅. And a few little roommates 🕷️ – can’t have it all!

The landscape on the way here looked completely different – lots of green, plenty of plantations, and only toward the end did it turn back to the familiar scenery of dry bushes and open land. 🌿

A short bush walk to finish off the day, and now it’s time to relax and unwind. 🌅🍷
